It annoys me that this email from Anya Hindmarch uses the details on her shoes as a selling point. For me detail, especially on luxury goods, is about discovery. The joy you feel when you discover tiny, thoughtful details is really quite special. Especially if those details are secret to you. Like this:
The photo doesn't do justice to how pink the inside of the button really is. Anway, back to the matter at hand - I think it's quite rude to rob that feeling by telling you upfront that these details exist.

I know what you mean, those details should be something only those in the club - people who've sought out the items, either to try on and long for or actually to own - know.
Unfortunately it fails on another level for me - on first glance I thought your post was about them using a shoe with a damaged soul!
