The other day I came across the rather lovely Rainbow in Your Hand. Today I found space currency. I realise it's quite an old story now, but I think it's quality.
With Travelex, scientists from the National Space Centre and the University of Leicester have created QUID (Quasi Universal Intergalactic Denomination) in preparation for space tourism. I love the fact that it has round edges 'to avoid damaging people and equipment if accidentally allowed float free in zero gravity'.
I wonder if you can buy QUID in your local Travelex and what the exchange rate is.
