I had a lovely chat with Amanda and Charles this afternoon, and as usual they gave me much food for thought.
First up, why aren't we making better use of our roof spaces? There's obviously Kensington Roof Gardens, but that's about novelty rather than industry. Imagine if London was home to a network of roof gardeners who grew produce for their building. Roof allotments would have waiting lists of well-heeled urban farmers and London would have more produce. The guy at Konstam would be spoiled for choice. I say, let's reclaim the roofs.
I love reading my favorite book on our rooftop. It's just quiet and relaxing there. Plus, it gives me a gorgeous view of the whole neighborhood.
